Wedding Invitations New Zealand
This invitation was designed to match a crimson themed wedding. The crimson theme was carried through the flowers, the sash on the brides maid's dresses, the ribbon used to wrap the chocolate favours, the name cards and the table settings.
The floral vector image was used for the back of the invitation, the text and map were on the fronts. These were tied together with a silver ribbon and posted out in matching envelopes. The place cards and envelopes had an ink stamp of a cartoon couple skipping together with each guest's name individually printed in crimson. The stamp was also featured on the back of the envelopes.
Wedding invitation below: This invitation uses the same image as above, but it has been modified to create a completely different look. The bridal couple had gold/ivory and cream tones throughout the wedding, and to emphasise this theme were printed on metallic paper. This paperstock is very popular for wedding invitations - it is a shiny metallic paper stock that appears white when looked at straight on, but when you tilt it in the light it has a fine-glitter-powder finish that shines gold. The metallic adds something extra to a relatively simple wedding invitation. The matching thank you card was were a fraction lighter in colour than the invitations so that the couple can write their message clearly over the top.
Wedding invitation below: another example of a gold wedding invitation - the bride's dress featured a gold coloured floral pattern embroidered on the bodice and this was reflected in the invitation design. The invitations were printed on a metallic card which is a very popular paperstock for wedding invitations - it has a shiny metallic finish that appears white when looked at straight on, but when you tilt it in the light it has a fine-glitter-powder finish that shines gold. The metallic adds something extra to a relatively simple wedding invitation, and makes yellow coloured designs appear gold.
The invitations were sent out to guests inside gold envelopes.
