New Zealand Envelopes

First impressions count! As you can see, there are a wide range of colours and sizes of envelopes, so I'm sure we'll be able to find something to suit your wedding. The manufacturer of our envelopes use local New Zealand papers and products.

As well as standard colours we offer metallic envelopes, which add a beautiful touch to the invitation package. These have a nice soft powder-glitter finish and are made from high quality paper at around 120 gsm.

Envelope Colours

	Bright colours: pastel pink, pastel blue, orange, yellow, pink, blue, purple, green, lime, red
	Plain colours: textured white linen, 100% recycled (a slight off white), black, white, grey, cream/ivory
	Metallic: dark gold, white, dark silver, light silver, cream/ivory, yellow-gold (nb. please click the image on the left to view a close up of the metallic envelopes - it's difficult to show the finish in a small picture)
	Custom colours: depending on the quantity you're after we may be able to have other colours made up for you, eg. the pinstripe envelopes made for one client that are shown to the left. Please contact us for a quote.

Envelope Sizes

Butterfly Envelopes

For something a little bit different to make your wedding invitations stand out you could use a butterfly envelope instead. They come in a range of colours and are available in the 12 cm and 16 cm square size. They are the same price as the standard top fold envelopes in the same size/colour.

Custom Wedding Invitation Envelopes

We can also do custom wedding invitations like the ones shown below - custom shapes and colours. Note that these are handmade to order and can be quite time consuming to make when the design involves pockets. We can either make the envelopes up for you, else we can supply a template so that you can create your own envelopes - ask the bridesmaids around to help you and make a day of it!

Above: the venue for this wedding was an orange orchard in the Hawkes Bay, New Zealand and so the invitations were orange coloured to represent this, and the envelopes were a metallic copper card to compliment this. They were lined with a gorgeous hand made paper stock that had a matching copper vine/leaf pattern on it. There were 2 pockets on the left hand side to house the map and rsvp card, and the invitation was held in with a pocket at the bottom of the envelope. The envelope tied closed with black organza ribbon. The cost for these envelopes is around $12-18 per envelope depending on the number of pockets, envelope colour, use of handmade paper etc. A nice alternative to this type of envelope is a gate fold invitation which has a similar shape (see this wedding invitation to view the size and shape of a gate fold wedding invite).

Above: This design has a pocket holding the invitation, info card and RSVP card together in one package. Depending on the size of the envelopes, the type of paper required to make these etc, the cost for these is around $8-10 per envelope. If you prefer, I can provide a template for you to make the envelopes up yourself to suit your wedding invitations. This can be provided with or without paper to make them out of.
